Cadillac Ranch July 21, 2012

A quick description of Cadillac Ranch for our friends who aren't from around here........A grave yard for old Cadillacs (belonging to a very strange local millionaire Stanley Marsh) randomly sticking out of the ground in a field on the side of I-40. Jake and I have been in Amarillo most of our lives and have never been out here. When we pulled up there were a dozen or more cars pulled over to go check out the strange but enticing wonder of route 66. We of course brought our spray paint so that we could leave our mark. The wind was terrible and it was sprinkling so we didn't stay long, but hey.....We can say we've been there!

14.) A lone horse in a fence at a building we didn't get the name of! It is close enough that we walked from the Amarillo Building though.

Sure wish we could get over there with that horse. Why is it in a fence anyways? Don't they know it's not real?!

Sweet baby!

19.) Happy State Bank Horse
For our friends who aren't in Amarillo, there are horses that local artists have decorated at different businesses all throughout our city. Today we went on a scavenger hunt to see how many we could find before we were just worn out! Meredith and her girlies Lexy, Keeley, and Kate joined us on our adventure. I believe overall that we had a photo shoot with 19 different horses. Of course we found a few other fun things to snap pics as well. I'm not sure if Meredith and I had more fun or the kids! This is a memory we will always treasure.
